OUR CLASSES

Education is one of our goals. We believe that working with herbs everyday improves the quality of life as we age, our longevity, and our vibrancy. The best way to do that is to learn how to integrate herbs into your daily life in simple, real ways. Our classes are designed for those new to herbalism and for those who would like to enhance their health naturally with traditional herbal wisdom.

salves for summer

SALVE

Summer brings new challenges in the form of bumps, bruises and itchy bug bites from our adventures out-of-doors. In this class, we will make a few salves to help you heal naturally that are safe for children of all ages.

After talking about a few key healing herbs and their traditional uses, we will make an herbal infused oil, an herbal first aid salve, and a natural salve for itchy skin from bug bites and poison ivy.

Crafting delicious teas

memorytea.JPG

With fresh herbs from your own garden or with dried herbs this class will help you craft teas and tisanes to meet your own tastes and needs. We will taste a variety of teas and herbs (also called tisanes), talk about complementary tastes and traditional herbal uses for a few common herbs. Finally, everyone will go home with a tea blend inspired by what they have learned in class.
